Our Learn to Play programme, or Mini Lynx as it’s affectionately known, runs from 5.45-6.30pm every Monday. There’s kit that can be borrowed and the first two sessions are free. Although not essential, it helps if children can skate a little or have been on the ice a few times before trying hockey.

The second Lynx Juniors hockey camp was held this summer with guest coach Tim Preston of Impact Hockey Development returning to pass on his expert knowledge.
Junior players from our under 12, 14 and 16 teams, as well as a handful of players moving up to under 20s, benefited from an intensive week of on and off ice activities.
To say the players were privileged to work with Tim Preston is an understatement. Tim, who runs Impact Hockey Development in Vancouver, works with developing young players all the way up to NHL stars including Brendan Dillon of the San Jose Sharks and Zack Kassian of the Montreal Canadiens. As well as training the Lynx Juniors this summer, Tim was also advanced skating coach for Team Canada ahead of the World Junior Championships!
Also benefiting from Tim’s coaching for the first was our very own Mini Lynx. Children as young as three years old took to the ice for an hour each day and Tim proved an instant hit.
